How do I establish dimensions A, E, and G?

1. You need a lead pencil, a plumb bob, a tape measure and your pool pole.
2. Run the plumb bob string through the hole at the end of your pool pole. Lay the pool pole
   on the pool deck at the center of the deep end and keep extending it out, perpendicular to
   the end of the pool until such time as the plumb bob is touching the toe of the slope
   (where the flat part of the hopper intersects the slope of the wall).
3. Using your pencil, mark the pool pole at the edge of the pool.
4. Pull the pool pole back in and measure from the hole at the end of your pole to your mark.
   This becomes dimension "A". Repeat this process for dimensions "E" and "G".

How do I establish dimension "H" (Depth)?

1. Lay your pool pole across the pool at the center of the deep end hopper. If the pole is to short, it can be extended by placing a broom handle(s) in one, or both ends.
2. Standing at the center of the deep end, throw a steel tape measure out over the pool pole. Flip the steel tape so that the numbers are facing you. Then lower the tape measure until the end is just touching the deep part of the pool. Take a reading on the tape measure at the water line. Note this dimension. Then measure the distance from the water line up to the liner track. The sum of these two dimensions equals dimension "H".

Note: Taping a small. smooth weight, like a butter knife, flush to the end of your tape measure will assist in getting a good reading.

On and "L" shaped pool, how do I get dimension "Z".

1. Measure the full distance across the "L" portions of the pool. Subract dimension "W" from this dimension. The result becomes dimension "Z".

To measure for "L" Portions 1. Establish dimensions L, W and A through K as though the pool      were a rectangle. 2. Supply dimensions "Y" and "Z" 3. Supply corner detail "X" or note that this corner is the same as the others, except reversed. Note: Dimension "Y" will not necessarily correspond to dimension "D"
