How to Measure for Your Pool Cover

Please note: The measurements you provide are the dimensions of the pool cover, not the pool.

With indelible marker or nail polish, mark the perimeter points of your proposed cover at 6 foot increments for anchor bolts (or 4' intervals for flat pins) all the way around your pool. These marks should be about the size of a dime and may be used again when you install your cover. (It is not necessary to establish points along a straight line such as #6 and #7 in the diagram below)
Allow at least 18 inches around the perimeter of your pool for anchoring purposes.

Number a mark #1, and in a clockwise direction continue numbering the marks all the way around. The size and shape of your cover will determine how many "points" you make.

Choose two points that are at least 10 feet away from each other and that are on the same side (see points 1 & 2 in the diagram below), and in the form below, furnish the distances from each point to all the other points. There should NOT be points that fall beyond the parallel of the 2 main points from which you are measuring (for example, do not use #10 & #2, because #1 is at a higher point than 10 and 2. This will skew the diagram when we plot the cover). Please provide the information in feet and inches to the nearest 1/4 inch. If you have more points than are listed on the form, please add those measurements on an additional sheet of paper.
